Riding the leather beast
I made this cool little holder for brochures and business cards for a local winery:
I was going for simplicity and I think I got it:
I've been working on a few tote bags lately and I'm very happy with how they have turned out, they should be in the shop soon. I was working with some different learners on these, using firmer leather for the faces of the bag and softer leather for the gusset. It gives a nice contrast, as well as makes the bags softer and more comfortable. I'm looking to lock down a single tote pattern someday, but until then I will just made as many one off pieces as I can 😁.
I've been busy creating a lot of new and interesting stuff. I will be adding new stuff to the shop soon, including these totes, some new wallets and a few other bags. I am getting some new leather today that should be interesting to play around with. It is a dark brown waxy pull up leather, with a little more of a smooth finish and hand than the oil tan I use regularly. I'm excited.
As always, thank you so much for checking out my stuff!
