Lots of events coming up, this dope custom satchel, things finally coming together around here
I have been so excited about the new bags that I have been making, that I haven't quite put it all together into a coherent blog post or newsletter announcement yet. That is mostly because I have been so busy making bags and wallets for new wholesale clients in San Luis Obispo area that I haven't had a chance to really roll the whole thing out as a collection.
This is complicated further, as I have been learning what people want recently, as I do more shows and put the products out there and receive feedback. The reception has been so great, and I have found that everyone wants black.. Which I am now focusing on. I have been making a few bags out of this Black Worn Saddle leather that I have worked with in the past, but I just reordered a couple weeks ago, and... wow. Some really great leather.
This bag pictured is a custom version for a special customer, and I keep making these, but end up selling them before I can add them to the shop. Which is good! But I will soon be making a big ol' pile of black bags in all three styles in the next couple weeks as I prepare for the upcoming holiday shopping.
Anyways, thank you everyone for supporting my new line of bags, and as it keeps going forward, let me know of shops that you think may be interested in stocking them outside of San Luis! I am trying to move into the bay area right now, and am looking for some sweet sweet connections. So if you know a shop owner who is looking for some new bags, send them my way! Thank you!
If you are in San Luis Obispo County, there is now several shops where you can find my goods:
-Len Collective in downtown SLO on Higuera stocks my full line of ladies goods.
-Office Hours, also in DT SLO, has a pretty wide variety of men's products, from wallets, to briefcases, to travel bags. It's a new shop, and they really have the finest selection of made in the USA, high quality menswear in the area.
-Scissor Clothing in Downtown Atascadero. My friend Kate has been running this awesome little shop where she sells her own line of handmade clothes, along with a selection of vintage gear and local maker's products. Such a cool little store. She has my whole line of ladies bags in there in a rainbow of color options!
-The Hive in downtown Arroyo Grande is our newest shop, and I couldn't be more stoked on a spot to carry our bags in south county. They have an awesome selection of cool gifts and feature tons of local companies. Check it out if you are in the village!
I have a lot in the works leading up to the holidays, I will doing a string of pop up events, as well as craft fairs, and events. I just signed on to be a vendor at this years Whale Rock Music Festival at Castoro Cellars in Paso Robles. It should be a blast, there is a ton of awesome music acts this year, and it is a family friendly event. Check it out: WhaleRockMusicFestival.com. It is Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16.
I will also be a vendor at this years Tequila Festival at Rancho El Chorro on September 8th. I honestly don't know what to expect! But it's sold out and that means that there will at least be a lot of people there!
I have a Small Business Saturday pop-up event at The Hive in the village in Arroyo Grande on November 24th, the day after black friday. I believe April Worley from Mender will be there as well selling her awesome line of CBD skin care products. Should be awesome.
As you can see, I have been SO BUSY, but it's all starting to pay off, so thank you thank you thank you to all my supporters over the years, and the ones who have come around more recently. I feel like I am finally on track to make the BEST STUFF I CAN.
